2026 Taranis Voltmaster Flamed Maple Top Electric Guitar with T.V. Jones T-90 Pickups

Wood & Wire Fine Fretted Instruments is the exclusive dealer for the Taranis Voltmaster electric guitar — a brand-new design from master luthiers that feels like it should have existed all along. The Voltmaster is the result of an acoustic builder and an electric builder sitting down together to find the best of both worlds, and it shows: a beautiful bookmatched flamed maple top, built by hands that know exactly what makes an instrument disappear in your hands. A lightweight, heavily chambered body gives it an almost acoustic feel, with clarity, punch, and a surprisingly lively response under the fingers. It's light enough to play a full night of gigs without a second thought, comfortable from the first strum, and versatile enough to move between dirty rock and roll and a more refined sound without missing a beat.

Sound Profile The T-90 is TV Jones's answer to the traditional P-90 pickup, combining a classic design with a touch of TV Jones sparkle and clarity. The result is a full and fat sound with clear, transparent overtones. The bridge pickup has thicker highs and more defined lows than what's commonly heard from traditional P-90s — Filter'Tron pole screws and wider pole-to-pole spacing provide more inductance for a thicker tone and plenty of dynamics. The neck pickup has good clarity and warmth, considerably less boomy than traditional P-90s. Combined with the heavily chambered body, the Voltmaster offers clarity, punch, and a surprisingly lively response — equally at home in dirty rock and roll or a more refined sound.

In Good Company According to Paul Yandell, TV Jones's early Super'Tron pickup design (featured on other Voltmaster builds) was a favorite of Chet Atkins.
