2026 Huss & Dalton TOM-R Custom: Lutz Bear-Claw Spruce, Wildgrain Indian Rosewood
Huss & Dalton TOM-R
Somehow, Huss & Dalton have built a brand-new OM that sounds like it's been played religiously for decades. Unlike H&D's standard fully-radiused tops, the TOM series uses traditional flat-top construction — a build method that trades a little modern stiffness for warmth, giving this guitar a beautiful, familiar, vintage voice. This particular example is extra-special, with an upgraded Lutz Bear-Claw Spruce top and Wildgrain Indian Rosewood back and sides, making it as striking to look at as it is to hear.
Build & Materials
- Lutz Bear-Claw Spruce top (upgraded), flat-top construction for vintage tonal character
- Wildgrain Indian Rosewood back and sides (upgraded, "R" designation)
- Belly bridge style
- Herringbone top purflings
- Rosette: inner and outer black/white/black lines surrounding double Ivoroid, separated by black/white/black
- Ivoroid body binding
- Ebony fretboard binding
- Short-pattern slotted square fretboard inlays
- Tortoise pickguard
- H&D nickel open-back tuners with nickel buttons
- Voice: flat-top bracing lends a warmer, more vintage-leaning tone than H&D's standard radiused-top guitars
