2026 Bruce Guitars 12-fret 000-18 custom Adirondack, Quilt Mahogany Serial #26111
"In the interest of full disclosure: I own this guitar's older cousin. It is the best flattop I have ever owned, and I play it as often as I can. I love it." (Jim, co-owner Wood and Wire). This period-correct 1930s-spec 000-18 custom, 12 frets to the body, was built specifically for Wood & Wire Fine Fretted Instruments with the intent of making some lucky customer ridiculously happy, and we are confident that it will succeed in its most-important mission.
Light-as-a-feather construction, tone for days and days and days, and super-attractive, understated aging make this guitar a must-have. Superstar luthier Wayne Henderson commented to Jim back in 2025 that he thought yet another still slightly older sibling "might just be the best guitar here [at the Fretboard Summit 2025]."
