2001 Martin 00-37 KSM Steve Miller Limited Edition #44/68 Guitar - mint condition

Sale price$8,000.00

Number 44 of 68 — that about covers the rarity story right there. The Martin 00-37 KSM was developed in collaboration with Steve Miller, a longtime acoustic guitar enthusiast who worked closely with the Nazareth shop to spec something genuinely distinctive. The KSM designation refers to the koa, Sitka spruce, and mahogany tonewood combination Miller requested — an unusual combination that works beautifully: the koa back and sides bring brightness and a certain clarity in the upper register that nicely complement the warm spruce top.

Built in 2001 with Martin's full attention for a limited run of this size, this 00-37 KSM is now old enough to have opened up and developed some character of its own while still being young enough to play with confidence. It is simultaneously a serious collectible and a genuinely enjoyable instrument to play.

Jim's Pic:k This is one of Jim's picks of the litter. Jim notes, "It's just a fabulous guitar. Miller's love for blues and fingerstyle shines through. I played this for an hour at the shop, and it only felt like five minutes."

The Marvin Rosenberg Collection. This guitar comes from the collection of Marvin Rosenberg — patriarch, attorney, corporate counsel, competitive sports car racer, and lifelong lover of folk and Americana music. For decades, Marvin showed up to jam sessions and bluegrass venues with friends, and that same passion shaped his instrument collection. He sought out player-grade instruments — vintage pieces with real, honest wear from a life of actual use — over pristine collector-shelf pieces, assembling a personal collection of guitars, mandolins, and banjos meant to be enjoyed rather than admired behind glass. Each piece was a tool of a passionate musician, chosen with the discerning eye of someone who understood exactly what made it special.

A serious collectible that's just as serious a player — don't let #44 of 68 pass you by.
