1930 Martin 00-17 - 12-Fret Serial #43365 - Very Good Condition
The 00 body gives you a bit more air than the 0, a bit more projection, and the same beautiful all-mahogany warmth that makes these Depression-era Martins so compelling. Serial number 43365 places this in early 1930 production, which puts it right at the end of the 12-fret era. It is a transitional instrument in the truest sense: built with old-school construction at a moment when the 14-fret standard was already taking hold.
The 12-fret neck joint pushes the bridge toward the center of the lower bout. More top surface is free to vibrate, which means more resonance and a rounder, fuller sound than you might expect from a guitar this compact. The mahogany construction keeps things warm and focused, with that punchy midrange character that records as naturally as anything.
Very Good condition. Plays well. If you are looking for an all-mahogany 00 from the golden era of 12-fret building, this is a solid example at a fair price.
