The man behind Grez Guitars, Barry Grzebik, is a person of many passions and talents. He builds beautiful, unique electric guitars that sound great and are easy to play, with ecological sustainability in mind. The Grez Guitars Redwood Planting Program plants a tree every time someone buys a Grez Guitar!
The Grez Guitars sustainability program works with the Redwood Forest Foundation, Inc. (RFFI) to have an annual redwood planting during the rainy season in Northern California. Why Redwoods? Grez Guitars is in an area between the great Armstrong Woods State Preserve and the Muir Woods National Monument. Well-protected public and private Redwood forests surround the area. Unfortunately, this land represents only a tiny fraction of the forests it had just over 100 years ago. Working with RFFI, Grez aims to increase the availability of this natural resource.
When Barry isn’t building guitars, he works as an Acoustical Consultant and AV Systems Designer at Grzebik Design Studio. You can find his work in a wide variety of venues, including concert halls, stadiums, high-profile places of worship, and Dolby Atmos Studios.
