Its dimensions are similar to a typical classical guitar, with a slotted headstock and a small pyramid bridge. The comfortable size and timeless appearance of the Collings 00 are matched by the ease of playing a wide neck and shorter string scale afford. The tone is typically balanced and precise, and it's been adopted for a wide range of playing styles, from simple vocal accompaniment to ragtime solos. When you want the durability of a modern guitar but one that appears rooted in an earlier, simpler time, the 00 is a versatile choice.

This 001 features Honduran mahogany back and sides, with rope purfling in place of the standard 1-style's b/w/b/w top purfling.

Build & Materials

Body: 00, 12-fret configuration

Back & Sides: Honduran mahogany

Headstock: Slotted

Bridge: Small pyramid bridge

Purfling: Rope purfling

Size & Feel

Nut Width: 1.75"

Comfortable 00-sized body with a wide neck and shorter string scale for easy playing

Sound Profile
A balanced and precise tone, adopted for a wide range of playing styles from simple vocal accompaniment to ragtime solos.

The Details

Built by Collings Guitars, Austin, TX

Includes hardshell case

In stock now at Wood & Wire.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0793/5295/5065/files/2026Collings001MahoganyTop_Back_Sides_RopePurflingSerial_37177.webp?v=1792167146
https://woodandwire.net/products/2026-collings-001-mahogany-top-back-sides-rope-purfling-1-75-nut-serial-37177
